Pharmacists have a lot on their plates. Keeping up with the volatile healthcare landscape, attending to their patients’ needs, running the business side of a pharmacy, precepting students and residents — all these things leave pharmacists with little time to take care of themselves. The Streaks app may be able to help.
Priced at $3.99 and developed for Apple devices, it was designed to help users form healthy habits and stick to them. Winner of the Apple Design Awards in 2016, the app encourages users to track up to six tasks they’d like to complete every day. The goal is to build a streak of consecutive days. The app works with the Apple Health app to help users achieve their fitness goals.
Streaks automatically knows when users complete tasks linked to the Health app. They can view current streaks, best streaks and completion stats. On supported devices, Streaks can also read walking/running data with users’ permission to determine completion of tasks. All data is accessed in full accordance with the iOS app review rules set by Apple. Step and distance data is only available automatically when using an iPhone 5S or newer, or using an accessory that writes to the Health app such as Apple Watch.
Download the app for $3.99 via the App Store.
